Musician / Composer / Producer of Dance
Topher Horn is a composer, producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist, from Detroit, Michigan. He completed his Bachelors of Music in Music Theory and Composition from Wayne State University in 2013, where he also studied piano, jazz percussion, and electronic music. His first full-length, Universe of Beings, was released by Dado Records in 2014. His first 12” The Detroit Jazz Sessions Vol. 1 is out now on Rocksteady Disco. Topher has shared the stage and studio with some of Detroit and the world’s finest artists including Dial 81 (Detropia), Todd Modes, Don Boyette (Michael Jackson), Amp Fiddler, Mike Monford (Parliment Funkadelic, Q-tip), John Beltran, Alan Barnes (Gil Scott Heron, Nina Simmone, Sonny Rollins), Jay Daniel, Mike “Agent X” Clark, Craig Huckaby, Britney Stoney, Laura Finlay (Sleepless Inn), Joe Mazzolla (Sponge), Mick Maslowsky (Zoinga Recording), Adam Padden (Tart, Hounds Below), Jim Diamond (Ghetto Recorders), and others. He especially likes dogs, making odd sounds with synthesizers, and woodworking.
