In the 1990, in Slovakia, „Totalitný Režim” appeared out from projects „Adolf Hypnotic Jagelsson” and „Van Der Jaglov Rezistor”, which were still active at the end of the eighties. In the last twenty years, this band creates the sound files, rustles, shades of noise with moments of silence, sometimes amplified whisper sometimes wolf howl. Instrument range reaches from traditional grinders and jackhammers through the ambient sound of dripping water and clinking glasses to a surprising use of conventional instruments such as acoustic guitar or flute. The current work in the new media category was foreshadowed by an occasional manipulation with fragments of known melodies recycled according to actual aesthetic needs. In fact, every member of „Totalitný Režim” operates in terms of totally free improvisation, which makes up the uniqueness of each moment on the way to balance or decay. This creative process fits well with Jagelsson’s text snippets that include various and sometimes unexpected fields of human knowledge – to be precise: „Who neither lathes front nor mills groove!“
