Trails is the hip-hop duo of rapper Syn The Shaman and DJ/producer theLin. Based around their mutual respect for authentic hip-hop and honest music, the two formed as a group to create with this in mind. Not content with the basic verse-chorus-verse-chorus type platform laid out conventionally, Trails takes a difference approach by pushing the music to fit the song, not just dropping vocals on existing beats. Syn’s long history from the early days in the well acknowledged hip-hop group Live Poets to now has laid a groundwork for the vocals against producer theLin’s musical background. Trails is raw and unforgiving, but also draws you in with it’s constantly changing landscape.
