The three sisters grew bored of singing in-front of their mirrors in their hair brushes and decided to seek out a way to “buss” in the music industry. For a while they had been practicing their musical skills pleasing friends and family and even had ideas for their first video. In pursuit of their dreams, they went to the studio where they were mentored for awhile. In early 2008, they impressed a local producer who then released a cover version of the Curtis Mayfield (and Pat Kelly) hit “You’ll want me back,” along with a video. Born and bred in Kingston, the three sisters, Maxx, Speshi and Lace, have been surrounded by the music of the Jamaican greats since an early age and have now focused their unlimited talent towards taking over the airwaves. Maxx is the eldest; the quiet storm of the group, is very confident and while pursuing her singing career, has recently completed her first degree in Language Communication at the University of the West Indies. Speshi is in the middle, the seductive, sassy sing-jay, the model and the certified cosmetologist, has always kept herself and her sisters looking ready for the limelight. Lace, who is set to enter the same University this year, is planning to study Entertainment Management. The free-spirited fun-lover is the youngest, but certainly holds her own in the musical group. Taking the lead from their musical family, Tre’jur picked up where their parents and other relatives left off. As young bright stars, the girls started drawing a crowd singing while their father worked in Down Town Kingston. The musical journey has taken them through showcases for dance and experiments in drama until they settled back with ease into their musical comfort zone of singing together and performing. Their debut single ' Dis Boi' on Skatta / Deewaan's Hangova Riddim comes with a glossy video which is already enjoying good rotation. The track has a catchy melody with infectious grooves and is a definite sing-along. Tre’Jur is now signed to Jam-Down music headed by Othman Mukhlis, who has received three different ASCAP awards for most global airplay and has worked with the likes of T.I., Sean Paul, Damian Marley, Tony Matterhorn and many others. Positively inspiring, the next generation has arrived and there is no holding them back. Tre’jur, the fresh Jamaican sound, unique, exciting, is ready to take their music to the world.
