Treiglad Pherffaith were a 1980s Welsh language band formed in college in Cardiff. They won the "Most Promising Band" award from Sgrech (a Welsh music magazine) in 1983. The band members consisted of: Ifor ap Glyn - lead vocals and trumpet Dafydd Meirion Jones - bass guitar, backing vocals Sion Llewellyn - drums Martyn Geraint - keyboards, backing vocals Maredydd ap Iestyn - lead guitar Guto Dafis joined the band as lead guitarist in 1984.
