Trials X are the pioneers of Polish hip-hop. Group was founded in 1991 by two colleagues from elementary school: Martin Tigermaan (J. Tiger) and Piotr Boruc (DJ. Platoon B. vel Platoon). They are recognized as forerunners of genre who began a boom in a Polish hip-hop culture. Their first songs was recorded semi-professionally in a small studio in a Varsovian district Ochota in 1993. Recording sessions took place in a two years after "Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black" of Public Enemy's and one year after "Daily Operation" 1992 of Gang Starr's. In 1995 Trials X releasing audio cassette their first - and last - music album called "Prawda - Cel - Przesłanie" (Truth - Aim - Message). Their CD was never published insomuch as have been stuck in Czech Republic because of the termination of the contract with the publisher terminated by Tiger and Platoon. The album was recorded in the best studio in Poland those times: at the public TV buildings in the main seat. When the "Truth - Aim - Message" came out, Tupac launches "Me Against the World". In the same year was published warm g-funk single called "Czujee się lepiey" ("I feel better"). This video was created thanks to the television's music video competition in 1995 and been presented at the main public channels in music programs of TVP & TVP Polonia via satellite with the huge audience ratings. Successful song was inspired by the song of Warren's G feat. Nate's Dogg - "Regulate". It was the time when MTV wasn’t in every Polish household. yet. Commotion around the band has contributed to sign a contract between Trials X and Adidas. The contract relates to play on tour in six Polish cities together with the Adidas Streetball Challenge. Unfortunately The band did not survive, however, and after successes, has suspended its activities. Although, the Polish Hip Hop fans remember well Trials X music and still mention about it as one of the most important Hip Hop and Rap bands in Poland.
