Trilitrate is a project that merges acoustic music and video creation in real time. It is a collective composition aimed at creating something personal, unique and unprecedented. This group creates new and unheard sounds that challenge any category and forge new paths in the world of acoustic music. They blur the existing lines between composition and improvisation, thus revealing influences from such diverse styles as classical music, free improvisation, hardcore, postrock or noise. In addition, they also perform original ethnic music within a universe of their own. Visual stimuli generated in real time put the final touch to this unique atmosphere. Trilitrate was formed in Vigo in 2012 by violinist Elena Vázquez (Peña, Ensemble Galería), Marcos Padrón on the accordion (Orquestra O.M.E.Ga, Cuarteto Caramuxo) and Rubén Abad on the guitar (Cró!, Es Un Árbol, Guerrera). In 2013, video artist Lau Iturralde joined the group in time for their first recording: Faláchesme na Man. After a hectic two years filled with festivals, performances and collaborations, their composing activity culminates in the release of Frutal Death in 2016, the band's second CD, where the four members have endeavored to overfly and then destroy each and every style, constructing a unique line which is strengthened by a feeling of wild independence. Fifty minutes of deep, energetic, wild pieces that bear witness, in this very moment, to the Galician quartet's incredibly creative moment that keeps expanding a year after the record's release.
