Tromsø Kunstforsyning is a Norwegian avant-jazz free improvisation ensemble, founded by trombonist Øystein Blix while he was studying jazz at the Trondheim Conservatory Of Music and playing together with Trygve Seim, Arve Henriksen and other members of the Trondhjems Kunstorkester. The group plays improvised music, in which the compositional point of departure is relatively open, and each individual member have a broad scope. Taking improvisation as its starting point, Tromsø Kunstforsyning has collaborated with artists in a variety of genres, such as Liv Hanne Haugen (dancer), Bernt Bjørn (actor), Nikolas Horne (light/sound designer) and Kristin Eriksen Bjørn (director).
