"Marrying the best of UK bass with great British songwriting, Troumaca forge a musical blueprint all of their own – dubbed ‘sun-drenched tropical blissdom’ by the band themselves. Troumaca's sound could be as much the influence of the Caribbean village from which they take their name (and from which member Geoff’s family hail) as the band’s midlands base. Citing influences as diverse as early Timbaland productions for Ginuwine and Aaliyah, to UKG and grime; from Radiohead to local legends Steel Pulse and UB40; the band effortlessly balance cosy bass weight and clattering drums with skittering electronics, highlife guitar licks and infectious hooks."
