Born in Claremont, Durban, South Africa, Lungelo Nzama a.k.a Trusenz is an MC who rhymes in English, but is fluent in Zulu, Xhosa, Afrikaans and Spanish as well. In 1990 he was pulled from school when he was accepted into the world-famous Drakensberg Boys Choir. In 1995 Trusenz moved to Jamaica Plain, Boston, Massachusetts where he immersed himself into Hip-Hop culture. It was in downtown Cambridge and at the Middle East Club in Boston, where Tru sharpened his skills along with fellow rapper Solo, with whom he formed the group "Daze-n-Knightz". In '99, Tru and Solo joined forces with City Slykas, Project Kids and others to form the Clik-O-Sickos. Moving back to South Africa in 2002, Trusenz released his debut album "Nomadsland" on Pioneer Unit, which was entirely produced by Dplanet, including a video to his first single "Go Against Us" which got played on Channel O. Trusenz currently resides in East London, South Africa.
