Truth about Seafood is a San Fancisco Bay Area band formed in the 1992 by Paul Bostaph (Slayer, Testament, Exodus), Jeff Minnery, and Brad Daane. Paul Bostaph was a member of Slayer when TAS released their first record in 1992. In 1997, Bostaph was replaced by former drummer of Chaos Theory. TAS self-released two EPs and one full length album with Minnery, Daane, and Flanegan and then disbanded in 1999. The band is located in San Luis Obispo, California and the band is back together. They have also added a second guitar player and a percussionist. Their sound is influenced by a variety of groups including Tom Petty, the Beatles, the Cars, Elvis Costello, and Bruce Springsteen. The song writing, harmony vocals, and slide guitar add a slight alt-country edge to the band. The newest band members of Truth About Seafood are Jeremy Griego on guitar, Sean Flanegan on drums, and Dave Lacaro on percussion and vocals. As for what "truth about seafood" means or refers to is unknown.
