The Tuesdays are a 6 member outfit from Charlottetown PEI. They describe their sound as alt country traditionalist. They took their name from the night of the week a bunch of mostly rock musicians got together to play country tunes and drink a little moonshine on cold winter nights in PEI. The band started out back in 2001as a side project for two local rock bands with a couple of additional members thrown in. Over the years it has evolved to its present 6 member line up. Some people see the band as a side project of Eyes for Telescopes since all members of that band are in the group, including vocalist, Belinda Doyle who has become a special guest of the band due to her vocal contributions on 45 Strings. The band has been happy for the most part playing a few gigs, writing, jamming on Tuesday nights and recording. They are another band where all members write and contribute songs.. The Tuesdays will continue to write songs and record songs that reflect their love and respect for " roots & twang" ; music and place while having fun doing it. That is the way of the Tuesdays. Members of the group include: Pat Deighan, bass & vocals; Dan Currie, guitar, banjo vocals; John Mullens, medicine man , steel guitar & vocals; Mike MacDougall, drums vocals; Craig MacPherson, accordion; fiddle & vocals and Steve Balderston, guitar & vocals.
