A.k.a. Dan Cintra Hopscotch Hotwire
Although Tungsten had been making early forms of drum & bass up to 1994, & had his tracks played by LTJ Bukem & Fabio, it was a meeting with DJ Dougal at a rave that spurred him on. With a preference for the euphoric elements that had started to disappear from drum & bass, Tungsten moved towards the uplifting energy of happy hardcore. Some top releases followed on DJ Dougal's Essential Platinum label! A few years down the line, with a stockpile of tunes due to the dwindling hardcore scene, Tungsten had a very quiet time. He spent his time honing his production techniques & decided to focus his full attention on drum & bass, hooking up with Morph in 1998 to form the Mighty Duo Tungsten & Morph
