A.k.a. Mirjam Timmer
Startet as Dutch duo (Mirjam Timmer & Johan van der Veen) in 1998. Their song 'Wêr Bisto' is the only number 1 hit, in the history of the Dutch charts, completely sung in the Frisian language. Mirjam & Johan separated in 2003 because of Johan's health issue's. From September 2009 till March 2011 Joost Bloemendal joined Twarres as male singer. Mirjam said goodbye to Joost and is now solo, but still active under the name Twarres.
