Band, *2008
Musician / Composer of Rock, Jazz and R&B/Soul
Twilight Gate is a project born in 2008 in Bari (South Italy), thanks to an idea of the guitarist/composer Gaetano Rossiello. After composing, developing and recording in completely autonomy some instrumental sections, Gaetano resolves to search for a partner, who could help him to take care of and develop all the vocal melodic lines and the lyrics. His choice was the singer Stefano Fiore, who has suddenly shown enthusiasm and interest in the project. Besides being good friends, they already had a previous experience with a local band, in which they played most of all Hard Rock/Heavy Metal covers. They immediately demonstrate harmony, pointing out complementary compositive abilities. In fact their musical background is very various, and you can see this among the compositions: apart from the tracks' power, essential prerogative of their genre, prevails over melody and harmony. As a consequence, their songs turn out to catchy, even for listeners inclined to other kinds of music, despite the articulate musical structures. Made clear Gaetano and Stefano's roles (the first as composer, arranger and sound technician, and the second as lyrics' and vocal melodies' author), they get ready to set the project up. They choose Luciano Carlucci as bassist, coming from the same Gaetano and Stefano's old lineup. Exceptionally gifted by a great technique and experience, Luciano shows himself very interested in this proposal, and agrees to the charge without hesitation (although he comes from a different musical background). The line-up is completed in the Summer of 2009 with drummer Giacomo De Nicolo and Rhythm guitarist Nicolò Cantatore. Giacomo was chosen for its undoubted musical versatility from Funk to Metal, of course Nicolò (Tales of Deliriaguitarist) was chosen for its accuracy in performing guitar riffs.
