Background Information from U2Songs.com: This box set titled “The Complete Early Years 1980 – 1987” was produced in 2002 for The Netherlands. The release featured six CDs commercially available elsewhere, into a collected box. All six titles were from the Island Masters line of discs remastered and reissued in 1999 – 2000, with the exception of The Joshua Tree which was the 1999 reissue with the different cover. All six CDs were pressings done in Germany. The six CDs included are Boy, October, War, Under a Blood Red Sky, The Unforgettable Fire and The Joshua Tree. The box itself is a burgundy box with the titles of all six albums in white, and images of the cover artwork from the six albums on either side. On the bottom of the box is a UPC and a Universal logo, but the box does not list any information about the release, nor the date which the box was released. It is believed that this set was produced in early 2002 for ECI stores in The Netherlands as an exclusive. Similar collections were done in other countries at the same time.
