Jazz and Rock
(1976-1992) Uzeb was a Canadian jazz band from Montreal, Quebec known for its fusion and progressive form of jazz, Formed in 1976, they rose to the international jazz scene as a result of their very well conceived albums recorded in the 1980's. The band also became popular while touring major international jazz festivals such as Bracknell (U.K.), Paris and Montreal but rarely played concerts in the United States. In 1991 at the Montreal International jazz Festival, Uzeb received the Oscar Peterson Lifetime Achievement Award.
