The recent expansion of the European Union into Eastern Europe has placed increased pressure on countries like Serbia to adopt new migration policies. In 2004, Ultra-red traveled to Serbia to hear from activists and migrants how those changes have impacted everyday life. Field recordings, broken beats and techno explore a landscape of precariousness. This is Ultra-Red's first album with Elliot Perkins (Phonem) as a member of the band.
