"Uncle Ben Hawkins" is an alias for Ernest V. Stoneman. Side A = Mx. GEX-493 Side B = Mx. GEX-496A Masters were supplied by The Starr Piano Co.. Both sides were recorded February 5, 1927, Gennett Recording Studio, Woodside, Long Island, NY. The notation "Licensed RCA Photophone Recording" refers to an electrical recording process licensed to the Starr Piano Company from the Radio Corporation of America, which had not yet purchased the Victor Talking Machine Company. Side A also released on Gennett 6044, Champion (5) 15233, Challenge (2) 244, 324 and 398, Silvertone 5001, 8155 and 25001, and Herwin 75441. Side B also released on Gennett 6055, Champion (5) 15222, Challenge (2) 244, Silvertone 5001, 8155 and 25001, Herwin 75535 and Old Homestead 173.
