Brass (March)
The theatre organ of the North German Radio in Hamburg is known as the "Hamburger Funk-Orgel." Constructed in 1930 by master organ and pneumatic percussion instrument builders Welte and Sons, it contains 21 ranks plus four percussion batteries played through a 3-manual console. In addition an electric Hammond has been added as a separate manual. The organ speaks through two immense chambers each approximately 28'x35'x12'. Its shutters have a lightning response. It is one of the best maintained instruments in Europe today.
