Alloy-X CEO Urbindex turned heads last year with his debut Walsh album with a dark and cerebral take on electronic music. Following the response to Walsh, he spent the rest of the year doing remixes and loose singles hinting at new directions. Landing official remixes for the likes of Girl Talk, Freeway, and Waka Flocka Flame’s single “Tolerated” which was premiered on Pitchfork, as well as the viral Atlanta rap hit “Look At Wrist” by Father, iLoveMakonnen, and Key!, cementing his position as one of the most forward thinking producers out right now. Urbindex has returned with a potent four track EP, CANVAS.AUDIO, taking the intensity and technical prowess he showed on Walsh and bringing it to the stage of maximalist pop, featuring his own vocals on every track. These four dynamic tracks are just as hard hitting musically as they are in subject matter, bringing radio-ready bangers that could just as easily fit in a murky basement DJ set.
