Album 2014 on Alloy-X label
Electronic and Hip-Hop/Rap (IDM, Bass Music, Hip-Hop, Abstract)
Urbindex is the spastic alter-ego of Alloy-X CEO and Co-Founder, Connor Walsh Musarra. Following his 2013 debut EP Symmetrics B on the legendary Schematic Records, Urbindex returns with his first full length LP, Walsh, via his newly established label Alloy-X. “club-ready but with an introspective edge.” -Derek Staples, TheFrontliner.com Walsh comes as an extrapolation of the current trends in electronic and hip hop music. In June of 2013, Musarra quarantined himself in a cottage in the hills of Ireland with a just a laptop and an iPhone. These tracks emerged from raw iPhone recordings of everything from bottle caps to airplane seatbelts to Irish talk-radio. Musarra meticulously splices and mangles these samples into soundscapes that are as thought provoking as they are aggressive. These instrumentals paired with his esoteric, yet steezed out rap style, makes for an unpredictable and engaging group of tracks. Urbindex kicked off the Walsh rollout with a glitchy, hallucinogenic music video for the single “30k” directed by the acclaimed J.R Saint, premiered by TheFrontliner.com: http://thefrontliner.com/music/music-videos/urbindex-30k-official-music-video-45892
