Uri Brauner Kinrot (b. 1979), a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, producer and craftsman , working between Israel and Europe. After graduating music studies at music arts school Telma Yelin, and while working for the Israeli Opera set design department, UBK began exploring rock and garage music, composing, recording and performing a wide array of musicians in his native Tel Aviv, amongst them Pezz, Michal Kahan, Electra and the Fluorescents. UBK’s ambition to integrate his passion for surf -garage music with the balkan and mediterranean sounds of his natural surrounding, brought his to form his band Boom Pam in 2003. Signed with German label Essay Recording of dj Shantel, Boom Pam plays a mixture of Mediterranean, rock and surf music in a format of a unique power trio consisted of Electric Guitar, Tuba and Drums. Their live act was an instant success , taking them to perform in venues of all sizes, across Israel, Europe, North and South America - clubs, bars, live venue, music festivals, weddings, private houses and Philharmonic orchestra productions in major theater halls - some notable performances were at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Jerusalem Film Festival with Emir Kusturitza’, California shows with the legendary band Ventures, globalFest NYC, WOMEX Germany. At the same time UBK has been a touring member of successful international groups Balkan Beat Box and Firewater, playing guitar and vocals for audiences of 1000-50,000 people in music festivals throughout North America and Europe.
