Urkraft was formed in 1995 in Svendborg, Denmark. After the recording the album "A Scornful Death", the band decided to release the album as free download only to make the material available to fans, before splitting up. Urkraft reunited in 2019, recording the album "Our Treacherous Fathers". The Germanic term ”Urkraft” translates into ”primordial force”,
