A.k.a. Urpo Sorvali Upi Sorvali
Urpo was a stage name of Finnish musician Upi Sorvali. The Urpo-character was founded by accident when Sorvali's record company asked him to sing the vocals on a song already recorded, "Teryleeniä" in 1976. The song was released and it became a major hit in Finland. A mysterious image was created for the Urpo-character and the character became very popular. Urpo released two albums in the late 1970s but Sorvali didn't perform as Urpo after the late 1970s.
