Puriya Kalyan is a popular evening raga, which combines elements of two ragas, Yaman (otherwise known as Kalyan) and Puriya. A feature that both Puriya and Kalyan share a tendency to avoid Sa and Pa (1 and 5), postponing the sense of resolution that these notes can provide and thus generating a sense of longing.
