Vaida Genytė (born 29 November 1974) is a Lithuanian soprano singer, TV presenter and educator, winner of numerous TV singing contests. In 1980 Vaida (age 6) gained her first nationwide recognition by winning children’s TV contest Dainų Dainelė (Song of Songs) with song Čiunga Čianga. Two years later she won the contest again with song Sparnuotosios Supynės. After graduating from secondary school Vaida Genytė acquired specialty of music teacher at Panevezys Conservatory and Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences and worked as a music educator. Her comeback was in 2008 (age 34) when she won the second prize in LNK TV show Star Duets-2. Later more music TV shows followed: Arch of Triumph (LRT 2008), Star Duets-4 (LRT 2010), Millennium Children (LRT 2008-2012), Choir Wars (TV3 2013), Dancing on Ice (LNK 2014). Vaida Genytė created roles in musicals: Notre Dame (2008), Man of La Mancha (2009), Tadas Blinda (2010), Fire Hunt with Beaters (2011). In 2010 won the second prize of the International Music Festival Canzoni del Mondo in Ravelo (Italy).
