Singer of Rock and Blues
A.k.a. Pierre Nolte
Born the 25th of November 1965 in Wellington, South Africa, Valiant Swart is a folk/blues singer/songwriter and guitarist with numerous production duties and guest appearances on a range of albums under his belt. Learning the trade as an "Afrikaanse liedjieskrywer" by playing the seedy Hillbrow pub circuit with fellow songsmith Koos Kombuis, his own debut album "Mystic Boer" was released in 1996. In 2001 he was sent on a blues tour of the Southern US States by local TV channel kykNet, with the resulting documentary "Veertig dae deur die Delta" leading to a lead role on that same channel's popular "Song vir Katryn" series, the success of which and the obligatory soundtrack album have made him a household name back home. Valiant Swart has outputted over a dozen CDs and appeared live in England, the USA, and Holland.
