Album US 2015 on Aerotek Recordings label
Dance (Techno, Tech House)
Van Czar, the multi-talented DJ/Producer from Brussels, Belgium makes his return to Aerotek with a major release upon us, a 6 track EP that's guaranteed to heightened the senses, titled 'Serie Z'! 3 uniquely crafted originals, plus 3 remixes that bring this release full circle with some style and grace! If you remember not too long ago, Van had his debut here on Aerotek with a special remix that he provided along with big artist and good friend to the label, Dantiez Saunderson and their remix of Shea Delany's 'Spanish Harem', and it proved to be superbly worthy on our quest to be recognized in our releases by our peers. We decided to keep the momentum going by developing our relationship with Van, and to create this release that will prove to be again worthy! The vibe Van brings to the table with his originals, are filled with passionate grooves, that embellish the sexy tech that we come to expect from Van. These tracks are Ibiza certified, and come forth at a great time for the summer parties around the world. The main track, 'Serie Z', starts off with the chugging tech groove, with hints of tribal percussion that give it a familiar old school feel, with the modern tech qualities, this very well orchestrated piece sets the tone for the EP nicely. As the progression of the EP ensues, 'Stella' then takes us further down the rabbit hole, with more drive, and darker overall pumping vibes. That's when we approach 'Pericola', which the label boss believes to be the standout track, some dark chugs and eerie drones makes this track very unique characteristically, and provides satisfaction to the more darker oriented taste of our peers. Following the originals, we have some VERY eclectic remixes up to bat, all different to one another, which spreads the spectrum a bit, and provides something for everyone. Our great friend Thomas Latham is back, with one of his best tracks to date. His 'Serie Z' remix is outstanding, taking the deeper vibes one notch further, with characteristics that gets one lost in the moment, and before you know it, the track is finished with one urging for more. That's when Byron Gilliam's remix of 'Stella', smashes it to pieces with his raw techno sounds. His remix then quenches the thirst of the techno purists, by providing a hard, driven techno track for the masses. To cap off the release, we would like to welcome our good friend, and extremely talented artist, Shane Fontane to the remix controls with his remix of 'Pericola'. His remix, just like all the others, provide its own great feel, with a hard, driving kick, swinging hats, and crunchy snares, leaving the listener satisfied with the overall EP results. Hats off to all of these fine gentlemen in providing one solid EP, that should remembered for years to come, cheers!
