VANADIUM were formed near Fremantle, Western Australia in 1993 by a bunch of young Metal Heads with a passion for Heavy Metal and Thrash music. Soon after they started playing regulary at local Metal shows and released the "Children of the Flame" demo tape, which recieved "Demo of the Month" in Australia's leading Heavy Metal magazine Hot Metal. After this, and a rhythm section line up change, VANADIUM had their core line up which set the writing process for their debut album "The Damage Done" in 1994. It was released in early 1995. In 1996, after a Guitar change, VANADIUM recorded 3 new tracks, 1 of which the song "Earth" was chosen for the WA Heavy Music compilation "Twisted Exports". Not long after this the band decided to end with members moving on to new projects. In 2017, more than 20 years later, some of the core members decided to reform VANADIUM. They now perform under the name Vanadium B.C.
