A.k.a. Kevin Vera & Robin Ålander

The group Vasa began in Växjö and Göteborg (Sweden) early in october 2006 by two guys that have a passion for making electronic dance music in all categories. Robin Ålander has already realeased a few tracks on two different labels under the following aliases, Nyx – Hardcore Blasters and Xenophex – Mokum Records. Kevin Vera is better known for being a recognized dj in the swedish hardcore culture and has played at almost all major events in sweden. As a team they make music in their own studios in two complete different cities were the Internet plays a huge role in the whole music-making-progress. Since both Robin and Kevin are very busy people, none of them would have the time to travel from city to city just to sit in each others studio to make som music. Sitting far away from each other works just as good. Both of these producers have a long individual history of how to make music. Robin Ålander is self thought producer and has come a long way on his own. Kevin on the other hand studied musicproduction and sounddesign at one of orca’s schools (http://www.orca.se) for three intensive months and has read books about modern recording techniques (David Miles Huber, Robert E. Runstein) and power tools for synthesizer programming (Jim Aikin) which has really helped him out. Nobody knows what the future holds for Robin and Kevin as a duo under the name of Vasa. But one thing is for sure, both of them will keep on producing professional music in many different types of genres.
