A.k.a. Васко Попа
*1922, June 29 †1991, January 5 Vasko Popa was a Serbian poet of Romanian descent. He was born in the village of Grebenac and died in Belgrade. His first book of poems, "Kora" (Bark) was published in 1953 and was highly influential in the development of modern poetry in postwar Yugoslavia. He is among the most translated Yugoslav poets.
