British classical clarinetist Verity Butler graduated from the Royal College of Music with a Master's Degree in Performance and the coveted Tagore Gold Medal for the most accomplished student. She made her London debut at the Purcell Room and has since performed an extensive repertoire of concerto, solo and chamber works at venues throughout Britain and abroad. Many works have been written for Verity, and she gave the premiere of John McCabe's January Sonatina and the first public performance of Joseph Horovitz's Diversions on a Familiar Theme.
