The band was born in Ourense (Galicia) in mid 2002, with Iván Quintas (drums), Víctor Márquez (bass and vocals), José Carlos Márquez (vocals), Camilo J. González (guitar) and Diego Alonso (guitar), but it wasn’t until November 2004 when the creature got the name of Vermis Antecessor. After a working and composing period, it was in 2009 when The Origin Of Brutality was released. This first recording is a self-edited miniCD with 3 tracks and an intro, and was well received by the critics and the audience of underground scene, both Spanish and foreign, as it has been sold in places like European Union, Russia, Japan, USA, North Africa, and even Indonesia. In 2010, Vermis Antecessor accepted the offer from Spanish label Pathologically Explicit Recordings to produce their first LP. It was recorded during February 2011 at Gonsound Studios (Vigo), mixed and mastered from March to July 2011 at the same studios. The Subliminal Way Of Flesh was released in September 2011, under Pathologically Explicit Recordings Label and Sevared Records for exclusive USA distribution. As their previous work, this album introduces 8 tracks of twisted and sick, authentic American brutal death, that has been played and distributed all around the world, and it was also very well received. After the departure of their guitar Camilo, in early 2012, and their lead singer, Cheve, in the Fall 2013, the band was consolidated in a three founding-members line-up. In 2016 the band have released, under spanish label Icon Of Brutality Productions, a new work, Prelude To Perversion, a Mini CD with 3 new songs and 2 bonus tracks (unpublished song includes) and prepares now the next LP. Their music has been described as sick, intense, guttural and fast American brutal death metal. Their compositions seek to destroy conventional structures at breakneck speed. Their gigs won’t leave you indifferent... Ivan (drums) Victor (Bass & Vocals) Diego (Guitar & Backing Vocals)
