This Is Going To Go On For A While

Album US 2017 on Ballast label
Electronic (Experimental)

edition of 16, signed and numbered. from the liner notes: "The recording of “What Goes On” on side 1 of the first LP of the 1969 Velvet Underground Live with Lou Reed 2LP set has, since I first heard it in 1987, been a song that could have gone on for 20 minutes and I would be happy for every minute of it. Over the subsequent 30 years, I have made many friends and acquaintances who also consider this version of that song to be, shall we say, “the jam.” The first four discs in this set contain loops of select instrumental phrases of the song; the fifth disc utilizes various sections of instrumental phrases, phased and panned, to develop a new composition."
