British jazz double bassist and tuba player. Born : September 26, 1941 in Wolverhampton, Warwickshire, England. Vic played with "Deep Bayou Band" (1956), with his brother Tony Pitt in trio (1958), "Russell Quaye's City Ramblers" and with Kenny Ball's group (to 1959 until 1977) and Chris Barber (1977-2000s). His brother Anthony "Tony" Pitt (b. 1940) is a jazz guitarist and banjoist player.
