Musician of R&B/Soul

Bassist who performed with Pure Food & Drug Act, Tower of Power, Herbie Hancock and Sugarcane Harris in the 1970s. He later was the founder of BALCO, a sports nutrition center in California that was implicated in a major sports doping scandal. Conte was sentenced to four months in prison in 2005 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute steroids and laundering.
