Victor Marinov

A.k.a. Vataff Project Victors Mob

Victor Marinov is a Bulgarian musician, DJ and live performer. His professional journey in the electronic music started in early 90’s with the formation “Dve Kupeta” (experimental dark ambient), moving trough the “Band of Mad Women” (electroacoustic band), “Vataff Project” (downtempo, ambient, IDM) and “Victor’s Mob.” (tech house, minimal, techno).Victor is also a cofounder of the label “Port One”. With his collection of analog synthesizers, effect processors and various software Victor has established his own recording studio. Within the years he has developed a specific musical taste, perfectly represented by his vinyl DJ sets. The magical music he creates falls undoubtedly into the categories of the intelligent techno, tech-house and ambient. Unless in the music and visions for his performances, Victor was also involved in composing of theatre and film music. One of his most prominent projects was in 2002 when he was invited in Berlin with “Vataff” by the advertisement company “Triggerhapptproductions”. He has been working there under a project with the director Zoran Bichach and the camera man Robbi Mueller (who used to work closely with Wim Wenders on many of his movies). Victor has been participating in different international musical events and appeared on many stages worldwide as a DJ & live act. Victor has various projects in creating and experimenting with the electronic musical sound and therefore, any attempt to describe or explain the essence of his music would be rather incomplete without listening to and directly experiencing it.
