Pioneering Swedish film director, screenwriter and actor born September 20, 1879 in Sibodal. He began his career in Sweden before moving to Hollywood in 1924 where he was called Victor Seastrom. He worked mainly in the silent film era. He died January 3, 1960 in Stockholm, Sweden.
