Italian composer, singer born in San Ferdinando di Puglia November 4, 1910, died July 26, 1988 at Borghetto S. Spirit, in Liguria, while he was on vacation, and was buried in Milan. He died at age 78 following a heart attack. Was married, had no children but adopted a little girl. After his studies he moved to Milan where he work as a mechanic in a factory, but due to an accident almost completely lost the use of a hand. Luckily, it sustains the love for music and is noticed by the Messaggerie Musicali Director, Gurtler, who hires him. One of his first songs was 'Canzone di Capodanno' in 1955, a traditional song, recorded in Naples. His name is especially linked to great success songs in the late 50's and all 60's. The famous 'Come Prima' song was brought to success by the Tony Dallara in 1958. This song was composed in 1955 and published in 1956.
