Album US 2009 on Psychopathic Records label
Hip-Hop/Rap (Hardcore Hip-Hop, Horrorcore)
The first full length solo album by Insane Clown Posse member Violent J At the 2008 Gathering of the Juggalos, Violent J gave everyone who attended the ICP seminar a CD-r with a demo of a project he was working on. He said the album was going to be called The Shining but he decided not to release it because he didn't think it was good enough. Copies of the demo were in such high demand that he changed his mind and released it nationally the following year. 10 of the 15 tracks on this release originally appeared on the Violent J demo The Shining is packaged in a standard jewel case with a clear disc tray, a 12-page booklet (with album cover, credits, thank yous, advertisements for upcoming projects from Psychopathic, and the track list), a separate 2-sided insert (with more advertisements for upcoming projects from Psychopathic), and a 2-sided back cover insert (with artwork and track list). The disc contains 15 tracks; 1 intro and 14 songs Track 15 "???" is a (not so hidden) hidden track. The song (about a "Freeway Killer" on the run) is preceded by a skit that starts at the 00:57 mark. If you listen closely, you can hear creepy breathing in a few places before the skit begins, but it's mostly silence ______________________________________________________________________________ [PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT CONTENT] (The following text represents how the artist's name and album's title appear on the album cover) ViOLENT J the SHiNIng (And on the album's spines) VIOLENT J ○ THE SHINING PSY4101 (Text transcribed from the album's booklet) Violent J's Special Love to Shaggy 2 Dope, Billy Bill, Mike E.
