Violet Rechord = Violet + Rechord was a one-off mail collaboration between Jeffrey Surak and Andreas Tilliander, who produced Zhopa 3" CD-R/MP3 mini-album for EARLabs net-label in 2004. Tilliander authored a few original short samples, which Surak reworked and expanded with his own material to produce final six tracks. Zhopa (Жопа) means 'ass' or 'butt-hole' in Russian, but is also used in figurative sense as in 'living in the middle of nowhere.'
