Czech lyricist, actor, scenarist, radio and TV presenter, pop-music contest organizer. Born May 14, 1925 in Písek (former Czechoslovakia), died December 28, 1999 in Prague (Czech Republic). Chief editor for entertainment at the Czechoslovak TV 1968–1976. Since 1956 often appearing as a comedian duo with Jiřina Bohdalová.
