The Vocal Consort Berlin was founded in 2003 by the cultural manager Folkert Uhde and debuted in the same year very successfully at the Innsbruck Festival in Claudio Monteverdi's "L'Orfeo" under the direction of René Jacobs. The Berlin-based ensemble, whose ambitious members could gather as a singer in other international presence chamber choirs experiences, particularly specializing in early baroque music and baroque music. In addition, the Vocal Consort Berlin presents new interpretations of the Romantic and contemporary music.
