A.k.a. Eckart Hachfeld

(born June 13, 1937 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein) is a German dramatist and theater director. He is the son of the writer Eckart Hachfeld and the older brother of the cartoonist Rainer Hachfeld . Together with his brother, he created the first children's theater piece "Stokkerlok und Millipilli". Since then, Volker Ludwig has been considered the founder of modern children's theater. Previously, there was no theater for children in West Germany. He is a member of the PEN Center Germany.
