[ Official Release Notes ] Chicago house, deep house and techno meet on this vinyl only EP of Volksfreude & Ellen Sunde on Manual Music. Including strong remixes by Rennie Foster & Adrian Barron. After several remixes for Estroe, Mark Archer and Rennie Foster Volksfreude is back with this debut EP. He teams up with Norwegian vocalist & producer Ellen Sunde, who is known for her electronica project Sea Change. Title track Made of Skin relies on a steady Chicago house rhythm, with Ellen's soothing vocals and moody synths on top. Adrian Barron's remix gives the track an even more clubbier feel. B-side track Searching is an excellent deep house track where a deep bassline, synths, guitar and vocals form an interesting palette of sound. For his remix, Canadian producer Rennie Foster strips the track down to it's bare essentials and constructs a building deep techno track out of it.
