Born : February 1890 in Louisville, Kentucky. Died : July 06, 1977 in Louisville, Kentucky. Chicago based 1920s blues and jazz recording musician, W.E. "Buddy" Burton could play drums, washboard, piano, celeste, kazoo and sing. He played with Jelly Roll Morton, Jimmy Blythe and Irene Sanders to name a few. He began recording under his own name in 1928.
