Prometheus - lest you be unfamiliar with Classical mythology - was the basis of Aeschylus' epic Prometheus Bound, an ancient Greek tragedy which told the story of a titan who defies the gods with fire; thus resulting in perennial punishment. And with 4 practically cinematic originals on show here, there certainly is an epic strand which curses through the release. The beguiling hues of the title-track are an early case in point, with their pitched-back, slo-mo vibes and their twinkling piano chords the sort of effort that one just can't help embrace. ''Crime of Passion'' boasts more warbling, interchanging nuances that really get under the skin thanks to the bulbous synths which are scattered throughout. ''Red Minds'', a collaboration with Alex Sakata is another otherworldly effort which is sure to make an impression on the dancefloor and bring your set in a new direction. Concluding track ''Future Society'' brings us on a glorious, off-kilter tangent in search of its kicks, and just as you'd imagine from its various titles, this is an intelligent EP that boasts its own inimitable charms.
