b.: November 16, 1904 (Sevelen, Switzerland) d.: October 03, 1997 (Zollikerberg, Switzerland) Swiss (German-speaking) jazz musician (piano and trombone), composer, conductor, and for a time arranger. In 1934, he founded the swing band "The Magnolians", comprising among others Eddie Brunner. He also composed music for movies. In 1956, he married Helen Vita, with whom he had two sons.
