Washington Bach Consort is a chorus and orchestra founded in 1977 by J. Reilly Lewis to study and performance the complete vocal and instrumental works of Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries. The Consort has appeared at numerous festivals and went on three successful European tours. The Library of Congress included their recording of Bach's entire 215-cantata cycle in the permanent collection.
